Problem Statement

Overconsumption of antibiotics

Overconsumption of antibiotics will eventually lead to what many have called antibiotic apocalypse and rise of superbugs that could kill 80,000. General spectrum antibiotics are usually prescribed to patients with upper respiratory tract infections which could be viral or bacterial.

Diagnosis is
based on experience because symptoms hardly differentiate viral infections from bacterial ones. The best alternative is to send clinical samples to a diagnostics laboratory which might take days to provide the results.

Solution Statement

Portable diagnostic kit for accurate dispensing of antibiotics

The solution is eProfiler, a patented technology, offering accurate, portable, simple, and cost-effective device for rapid detection of pathogens from a drop of clinical samples. This all-in-on electronic biosensor can analyze all three major biomolecules (DNA, RNA, Proteins) as well as cells WITHIN A FEW MINUTES.

First of its kind, this fully-electronic biosensor is able to capture electronic fingerprinting signals from the biological materials such as viruses or bacteria. Therefore, the business model will eventually be about big cloud data of electronic profiles, beside the device and disposable PCB-based chips. The potential is endless.
